John awakened this morning with a prayer, "Lord, I know I do not deserve to be without pain. I know you suffered in the garden and in your death. But I ask in your mercy, that you would allow a reduction of suffering."
John has repeatedly told me, "I must have an outward focus. I have many thoughts of open-ended projects at the library. I want to help my staff with questions. Having a goal gives me hope."
Several hours later John and his father loaded into the van and went to Buswell Library. John put in several hours of work before his energy faded.
Thanks be to God.
Isaiah 58: 11
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs
in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your bones.
You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose
waters never fail.

I am praying with John for a continued reduction of pain. I remember the deep care and tenderness of God I felt when John prayed for my back pain. I am so grateful for that memory, and would like John to know that I am praying for him in this same way.
John Fawcett! John! Oh! John!
What a guy!
You seek to give, to serve,
When we should serve you!
You went to work! Hoorah!
So good for you...and us!
John! Oh John!
The Choice cards wait,
Sadly, mostly, now out of date!!
John! Oh John!
What a guy!
Your courage, John,
It makes me cry!
Cry with joy!
Hope and pain,
Pain and hope,
Hope, Faith, Love,
These three,
Have You shown
Others, and to me.
With so much affection, John walford
John prayed for my back pain, too! What a knowing, spirit-filled, gracious prayer it was! I'm still thankful for it.
In compassion, I pray this e-mailed prayer for him:
Lord, your mercies are new every morning. Thank you for that. Please bring an extra measure of mercy to your son and servant, John. Hold his hand. Hold his entire body.
Touch the places that are heaviest with hurting. Please remit his pain. In your kindness, lift the suffering. Bring the healing hope of your Light into every crack and crevice of his body.
Thank you, Lord!
ROCK ON, John! We are doing a little dance for you! God is good and his faithfulness endures forever!
Love, Julie Mac
